An overview of impact from core procurement activities (2025)

We provide a brief overview of our procurement activities for the period 2021-2025. Over this period we have been seeking to:

1.      Pilot the program (2021-22)

2.      Pilot scaling innovations (2022-23 and 2023-24)

3.      Improve processing efficiencies (2023-24 and 2024-25)

4.      Build up sales chains and the overall governance model for the program as well as work on partnerships for scaling (2023-2025)

These activities are reflected in the data below – you can see an initial expansion where we trialled scaling innovations (highly effective) and lower purchases in the last two years while we focused on building up the whole supply chain business. We’ve still got some elements to put in place here in Australia but are close to having the whole operation linked up from procurement through to sales – using ethical approaches the whole way through and providing for unique quality assurance mechanisms as well.

We’ve been able to show substantial value generation for local communities within this program, and the ability to link up effectively with effective sales chains. Our focus now is on growing reliable sales chains that meet our values and building partnerships to support sustainable growth.
