Ethics vs morality
Ethics and morality have strong linkages and similarities. Specifically, ethics is a system of moral principles but that differs from morals in that it is based on widespread agreement and on a logical basis for application. Ethics and morals both define right and wrong but differ in scope: morals are personal beliefs about what is right or wrong, while ethics are external, societal rules that govern conduct within a particular community or profession. Morals are subjective and internal, but ethics are objective, logical, and applied systematically to guide behaviour according to community standards.
